County Champions ~ 2 year in a Row

This was our first year to try swim team. Rebekah & McKinney - you both did really well. You exceeded at each meet and you improved your times considerably over the course of the swim season. Rebekah, you especially worked really hard at your breast stroke. The top 52 swimmers in each stroke make it to the county championship at Georgia Tech. You wanted to make it to county your first year so bad. You worked so hard and you were placed 51st. That meant that you were the first alternate if any of the other 50 swimmers couldn't swim for some reason. So, we went to GT that morning and were hoping you would get to swim. Unfortunately, that didn't happen this year, but I know you will make it next year. Coach Rick was so proud of you too. What a team player you were to go all that way not knowing if you were going to swim or not.
You did get to warm up in the 1996 Olympics pool, which you said was really cold!
We are so proud of you!!

Sherrer Family Gathering

So today, on Grandmama's birthday, we celebrated family with the Sherrer's. You kids are really starting to love seeing your cousins on Daddy's side of the family that we don't get to see very often. This was a fun day!!
McKinney, you love to be thrown into the air by Daddy. You have some pretty fancy moves when you are over the water ~ this is one of my favorites!
Rebekah and Kylie practicing their diving off the hot tub. Cousin Kathy looks on from the side.
Bird's eye view.

Spend the Night Party

A few nights ago Mrs. Paula invited Rebekah and Tori Riddett to spend the night. They all had a wonderful time. I remember these same fun times when I was a child and I am glad that Rebekah is making these memories with some great friends.

More of Micah

I don't ever want to short change my sweet third born. So this post is all about Micah!!

Several days ago you wore these reindeer antlers around the house all day long. So, we decided to make you Rudolph, complete with a red nose and all.

It was a great idea until....

Apparently you thought that since Mommy could write on your nose with a marker, it was okay to write on other faces with markers. So, the mural in McKinney's room now looks a little different.

You love Buzz Lightyear and you like to "push the buttons" on your "Buzz Pack" before jumping "to infinity and beyond."

Playtime! You have discovered the dryer. You think it is a really fun place to hide!

And of course, I couldn't resist taking a picture of your first shiner!

Rebekah's Trip to the Fox Theatre

Rebekah - I remember my first trip to the Fox Theatre and I can hardly believe I have a daughter old enough to be taking. This is a special Atlanta tradition that I hope we will enjoy together many times in the future.
Before the show we ate at Mary Mac's Cafe with Tori Riddett and her Mom and Grandma. This is also an old Atlanta landmark. It was so fun being there with you!!
After dinner we parked and then walked across the street to the Fox Theatre to see Little House on the Prairie. You have read all the Little House books and they are your favorite. I knew you would love the show.

Fun times were had by all!!!

Swim Team

This year Rebekah and McKinney decided to try swim team. They both really enjoyed it and were very good. I am amazed at how much they improved throughout the season. Rebekah is ranked #74 in breast stroke and could possibly be going to County her first year! This is very exciting for all of us. Here are a few pictures of them at their very first meet.
