They Copy Everything

Today I walked into my bathroom to discover McKinney putting lotion on his legs, just like I do. I am amazed at what they see us do & try to copy. We parents really have to be careful!

McKinney's Choir Performance

McKinney - you have really enjoyed choir this year. I assumed that you always sang at choir, just like you do at home. However, your teachers were very surprised when you started belting out all the songs at your performance on Sunday. Mrs. Angela said you rarely sang during practice, but obviously you were taking it all in & you let it out at just the right moment so Mommy & Daddy could enjoy it!! And, you sang every song with Blueberry in your arms. So sweet!

First Trip to Mayfield in 2009

You guys have been working very hard to earn marbles for having good attitudes and behavior. Your second reward on the "marble jar" is a trip to Mayfield Dairy for ice cream. So today you both reached your goal and we loaded up and headed out. This is one of our favorite places to visit in the spring and summer. Ice cream for $1.50 and all the fun you can have on a giant cow!!!

This is Micah's first time to Mayfield where he actually got to partake of the yummy treat!

We always call and invite Pop. Unless he is fishing, he usually joins us. He moans the whole time about how he shouldn't be eating the ice cream, but then goes back for a second scoop!!

You guys were worn out - or were you?

Pop helped Micah get up close and personal with Buttercup also. (Not sure if that is really the cow's name, but that is what we call her.)

Lovin Each Other

This is what I found the other day as you stood at the front door waiting for Pop & Gaga to arrive for dinner! Nothing makes this Mommy happier than to see you two loving on each other!! I pray you will always treat each other this way!

Micah Turns One

Sweet Micah - One year ago today you joined our family. Your quick delivery caught us off guard and the first year has gone by just as quickly. We love you very much & cannot imagine life without you.

Micah - you enjoyed so much pizza that you weren't very interested in your cake. You played in it a little, however you didn't like how it felt on your hands.

Well big guy - two days before you turned one - you decided you were going to stand all by yourself without pulling up on anything. I was folding clothes and turned around to see you standing in the middle of the floor. You quickly lost your balance & fell when you saw Mommy get excited, but continued to show off your new skill over and over! I am not ready for you to turn one - but I don't think I can stop it from happening, so I will just enjoy it instead!!
