Cabo San Lucas

We had an amazing time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I am so thankful to Robbie for planning this trip & for encouraging me to go when I was a little uncertain. This was the longest we have ever been away from the kids & the break was wonderful!!! We had so many great pictures, I couldn't help but include so many.
This was our view at dinner one night!!
This is our resort in Cabo
This picture was taken on our balcony - we used the timer on our camera & I was surprised at how well it turned out.

Gorgeous!!
We took a sunset dinner cruise one evening. It took us out into the Pacific & by the famous Cabo Arch. There is a picture of that later.
Here is a sunset picture - it was very windy, so that explains my crazy hair!!
This is the Arch. The cool thing about this is that every four years the tide goes out so much that you can actually walk under the Arch. It was amazing seeing the huge rocks coming up out of the ocean!! More of God's handiwork!

This is our resort from the roof. Robbie followed the stairs all the way up to the roof & was delighted to get such a great view of the Cabo countryside!!

This was our view from our pool chairs everyday!!
One day we took a Salsa Dancing class & here is Robbie with our instructor, Lissete.

Out front at our resort waiting for the shuttle to take us to the resort beside ours for dinner.

Loved this cactus.

This picture was taken mainly for Russell's sake. Can you believe this???

I don't really understand what "Almost Kosher"is. This sign baffled me all week.
Here we were enjoying the beds on the beach. We had fun here - they were so comfy & the perfect place to relax at the beach!

This is a picture from the Sky Pool. It was a pool up on a huge mountain & you could see for miles.

Rebekah the Reader!!

Rebekah LOVES to read. When I was a little girl I had a poster hanging in my room with a line of babies with books in their hands & it said "Born to Read". I wish I still had that poster because it describes Rebekah perfectly. Here is just a sampling of the places I have found her reading. This is all from only two weeks since school has been out!!

Our Princess Kisses a Frog!!

My kids crack me up. This morning McKinney caught a frog (this is a daily happening in our house). However, this morning McKinney wanted to see if the frog he caught is a prince. He asked Rebekah to kiss it & she quickly said no. Then he said maybe Micah could kiss it. I explained that it had to be a princess, so he really started trying to convince Rebekah to kiss the frog. I couldn't believe it - but she actually did it!! Here are a few pictures and a video below!!
She quickly ran inside to wash her mouth off!!! Hysterical!

Rebekah the Pianist

Rebekah, last Tuesday you had your first piano lesson. You have looked forward to this for a long time. Last night you spent the night with Pop & Gaga and Gaga took you to get a manicure and a pedicure. She said every girl must have gorgeous fingernails for her first piano lesson. You loved it and have been practicing so hard all week long. You even went ahead in the book. Mrs. Pam will have her hands full trying to keep you busy. I love seeing you learn to play, just like I did as a child.

More Mayfield Fun

You guys love Mayfield. Friday, we met the Henderson clan there & had a great lunch, great ice cream, and a good time!!

You guys wanted to pretend you were holding the cow up!! Funny.

Pop & Uncle David are Home!!

Pop and Uncle David have been in Brazil for three weeks. We have all missed them a lot. Especially you, McKinney. You cried several times asking when Pop was coming home, and when he finally got home, you didn't leave his side the entire time we were at his house. You guys are so blessed to have a wonderful grandfather.
On Saturday, we had all the family over to our house to welcome Pop & David home, and to meet Rachel. Uncle David thinks she is pretty special & you guys have been sooooo excited about meeting her.

Water fight between David and Caleb - looks like Caleb is winning.

After swimming, the kids gathered around Rachel & were in awe as she sang and played the guitar. She is somewhat of a super star to the kids - and to David!!

After everyone left, Rachel started playing & singing again. You two loved it.

She even showed you how to play a chord on the guitar.

McKinney, you wanted to play your guitar with Rachel, so you went inside and found your Wiggles guitar. This was so cute & Rachel was a real trooper trying to play along with Jeff, Murray, Gregg, and Anthony.
